1. Delete your account in the app (recommended)
Open the Cojauny app and sign in. Go to Settings → Account → Delete account, then confirm in the dialog. If you use Google Sign-In, you may need to re-authenticate (Firebase security requirement). Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
2. Request without app access
If you cannot use the app, email support@cojauny.com from the address linked to your account with the subject “Account deletion”. Include your registered email or username. We will respond within 30 days and verify your identity before processing the request.
3. Data that is deleted
When your account is deleted we remove, among other items: profile and account data (name, email, avatar), event and chat participation, messages tied to your user, push notification tokens, on-device preferences after sign-out, and your Firebase Authentication record. Images you uploaded to chats or events are deleted or disassociated according to our retention rules.
4. Data that may be kept temporarily
We may retain for a limited period: technical and security logs (up to 12 months), encrypted backup copies until the next purge cycle, and data required by law (up to 5 years under applicable Spanish law). Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot identify you may be kept for statistics.
5. Timeline and confirmation
In-app deletion usually completes within minutes. Email requests are processed within 30 days. You will receive email confirmation when deletion is complete, unless the address is no longer reachable.
